Little Peanut
I find it amusing how often people refer to Kate as a "little peanut," but I guess that's really the best description for her. I took her in for her 18 month dr. appointment and she is BARELY 19 pounds. (the scale actually read 18 lbs 15.5 oz, so the nurse rounded up.) This means we can't even turn her car seat around yet, because she has to be a year old AND 20 pounds before we can do it.

Ready! Set! Go!
There are probably a lot of people who don't know (or can't believe) this, but I used to be a runner. My love of running started right after high school and continued for about five years, until a series of injuries discouraged me and I finally decided to call it quits.....until now.
On Friday I met with a physical therapist who specializes in running injuries. I told him about my high arches and my messed up knees and asked him if there was any way I could fix my problems and run again. So now I have a stretching/strengthening program that I am supposed to do 3-4 times a week, and some new arch supports that I LOVE ($30, I was worried they'd be more!) The PT believes that if I can strengthen my leg and back muscles, I can overcome the problems with my feet, therefore relieving the problems with my knees. I also have to focus on stablizing my "core" when I am running to balance myself out when running (apparently my right leg is longer than my left leg, I had no idea.) I am supposed to work up to it slowly, but hopefully in a month or two I should be able to run 10-15 miles a week. It's not a lofty goal, but a doable one where hopefully I can maintain a good level of exercise and not do long-term damage to my knees.
All I can say is I hope this works because I just love the freeing feeling of running and the endorphin high that I just don't get from any other exercise I have tried. Plus I need to improve my speed so I can keep up with Kate. Seriously, for anyone who wants a workout, feel free to take her for an afternoon to the mall or the zoo and try to keep up with her - she's the fastest 18-month-old I've ever seen!!

Disney mania!!!
This will most likely be the longest post EVER, but here it goes.....
Any guesses?? Yep, it's Buzz Lightyear's rear end, for anyone who isn't a Toy Story aficionado. It was so funny to see that every time we got off the elevator. Anyway, the hotel (it was more like a motel) wasn't too fancy, but it worked for us. We were all just so happy to be there!!
I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would. We also met the characters from Monsters Inc. Kate handled Sully pretty well, I thought she’d be terrified!
Hanging out in the line for Toy Story Mania.

It's a Small World After All.....
Just a few details of our trip......
6 - Days we spent at Disneyworld
1 - total number of flights where I was NOT puked on by one of my children.
Yes it was so cold the first few days that the kids were in their coats and hats. Good thing we live in WI so we were well-equipped!

Thoughts for the week
A few things I have learned this week....
1-It is impossible to constantly look after three kids in a public place when you only have two eyes.
2- It is worth paying the $50 membership fee to get a Costco membership even if the nearest Costco is over 30 miles away. I LOVE that place.
3- Date nights are the best!! We need to do them more often (I hope Keith reads this.....)
4- I think I might be more excited about our upcoming Disney World trip than the kids. I can't believe that these kinds of things are even more fun when you are the parent - who woulda thought?
