Little Peanut

I find it amusing how often people refer to Kate as a "little peanut," but I guess that's really the best description for her. I took her in for her 18 month dr. appointment and she is BARELY 19 pounds. (the scale actually read 18 lbs 15.5 oz, so the nurse rounded up.) This means we can't even turn her car seat around yet, because she has to be a year old AND 20 pounds before we can do it.

But what Kate lacks in weight, she makes up in head size. 90th percentile! I am pretty sure this means she's going to be brilliant :)

Emily, your family is SO adorable! I am so glad you have a little girl- what a dollie! Yeah, so Ruby is 8 months old and weighs more than Kate- hilarious! So glad to get in touch with you!!!

When the doctor saw Spencer at a year and saw he was barely 19 pounds, he told us that it was legal to turn his car seat around if we put him in a heavy coat :) This small weight thing must be a Johns trait...I can't imagine Spencer will ever make it over 20 pounds! Kate is so cute! What she lacks in weight, it sounds like she makes up for in speed!

She is little.
Good thing she has a huge head, or she would weigh even less. =)

Its so funny that her head is in the 90th percentile! Her head is so well proportioned to the rest of her body! I would have never guessed!
