Class of 2009

Connor "graduated" from pre-school a few weeks ago. They had a really cute little program with the kids singing, and then they were handed their diplomas. I was so proud of Connor because he knew the words to the songs and actually sang them (a huge improvement over his Christmas program!) My favorite part was when they sang "You are my Sunshine" because I could hear Connor's voice loud and clear through all the other little voices. I assume he knows that one so well because he has heard me sing that song to him every since he was a little baby just like my mom always used to sing that song to me. Unfortunately I don't sound as good singing it but I am hoping my kids don't mind :) But anyway it got me all teary-eyed and then I just felt like one of those silly cry-baby mothers who can't keep their emotions in check (another thing my mom used to do and it always embarrassed the heck out of me.....)

Sorry for the blurry picture, sadly it is the best one of all the group ones I took! Connor is the third in from the left.

So proud! One of these days it's going to be his high school graduation.....and then college....he's growing up too fast!!

With his best little buddy Kyle :)

How did YOU celebrate National Train Day?

Trains have been a really big deal at our house ever since Cameron discovered Thomas and Friends back when he was barely old enough to talk. So last Saturday in honor of National Train Day we drove to Sturtevant (anyone even know where that is??) to see some train "stuff." Needless to say the kids had a great time. Wish Keith could have been there, but he had to work. On Saturday. Again.

Some pictures of our excursion...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CONNOR!

Connor's birthday was on Saturday, so now he is a big boy of four. I told him we could go ANYWHERE he wanted for lunch, and he picked McDonalds (no surprise there!) So we ate lunch and played at a park, then opened presents and Keith made a Wall-E cake (he has some pretty random talents like that......)

So cooperative....this is what Connor does when we try to take his picture.

He's making his wish! Notice Kate already has chocolate on her face, not sure how that happened....

So that was it for Connor's actual birthday, but today he had a "friend party" which consisted of cupcakes and then all the kids playing. It was so easy and laid-back, just my kind of party!!
Connor and his friend Alton, I am not sure what they are doing????

I took a bunch of other pictures but they all turned out blurry. Maybe I need a new camera? Anyway, Connor had a great time with Alton, Brady, Kyle, Kevin, and Zander. He has such good friends :)
